Powercorp Property Services Cleaning Attendants are often responsible for the security of the building in which they are working. This responsibility includes the holding of keys and, when leaving, making sure that lights and electrical appliances are turned off, that the building is secure, and that any security breaches are reported to building owners or managers.

EQUIPMENT
Equipment used throughout each contract must be of commercial grade, all equipment is serviced at a minimum of every six months, and electrical equipment is serviced / tagged every 3 or 6 months depending on usage.
All equipment used meet air quality and safety standards with vacuum equipment comprising adequate suction power and effective filter systems to prevent dust being disseminated into the local environment.
MATERIALS & CHEMICALS
Green Cleaning techniques are employed throughout each contract; the procedures incorporate the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products and Microfiber cleaning systems.
Colour Coding Cleaning systems are used in the majority of cleaning situations; this is an intuitive visual coding system which improves training and communication, removing language and literacy barriers when training a diverse workforce in proper cleaning processes.
Colour Coding also provides supervisors with quick visual indicators for monitoring employee activity to prevent tool or chemical misuse.
ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE CLEANING
Powercorp Property Services understands the effects our activities have on the environment and we continually seek to improve our environment performance. Some of our initiatives include:
Operational Efficiency
Our in house Integrated Management Systems includes procedures to manage and reduce environmental and safety hazards and accidents. We implement efficient use and maintenance of powered equipment and vehicles.
Use of Environmentally Preferable Chemicals & Cleaning Products
We procure and use products certified as environmentally preferable by internationally recognised Eco labelling programs. Where these are not available we asses products against environmental criteria including hazardous materials, packing and end of life options.
Chemical and disinfectant use is controlled and monitored to optimise hygiene and lower consumption over time.
Reduction of Material, Water & Energy Consumption
We purchase materials in bulk to reduce packaging waste and use re-useable microfiber cloths and containers in lieu of disposable materials.
We use water efficiently through our cleaning practices and water appliances.
Waste Management & Recycling
We work with our clients to separate recyclable items for waste collection and have arrangements in place for removal of specialist, hazardous waste.
Educate Staff & Clients
We have an ongoing green cleaning training program for our staff and we seek to inform our clients about our practices.
