STAFF INDUCTION

Powercorp Property Services understands the requirements and regulations for service staff, and as such include in the induction process, acceptable conduct whilst on premises. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Smoke Free Environment - Smoking is prohibited in buildings and surrounds.

  • Alcohol & Drugs – Employees are prohibited from consuming or bringing onto the premises any alcohol or recreational drugs.

  • Sexual Harassment – Staff are informed of regulations under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 and Powercorp Property Services Sexual Harassment Policy.

  • Noise Control – All precautions shall be taken to minimise noise. Any noisy activity will only be undertaken with the prior approval of the site representative. No radios etc to be used on site.

  • Electricity – Cleaning Attendants are only to use free general purpose outlet, they are not permitted to un-plug any electrical equipment even if no free outlet is available.

  • Testing & Tagging – All equipment, including extension leads, must be test and tagged in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, this is scheduled through Powercorp Property Services Management. Any equipment or leads identified at any time as damaged must be reported to the Powercorp Property Services Area Manager, isolated and tagged as “Danger – Do Not Use” and arrangements for repair organized.

  • Equipment – Staff are not permitted to use any equipment such as; Computers, Copiers, Facsimiles, Telephones, music equipment or electrical appliances.

  • Security – Staff will at all times wear their full Powercorp Property Services uniform and photographic identification badge.

  • Attitude – Staff shall be polite, courteous, cooperative and helpful at all times. In addition to items noted above all staff will be fully trained in all relevant documentation, policies and procedures specific to a particular site.
